BIOSAR Troopepn (Heterorhabditis indica), a heat-tolerant nematode, works against 25°C to 29°C pests. When applied to the soil surface, Heterorhabditis indica infects larvae, penetrating through larval body cavities or orifices into the blood. Once inside, they release symbiotic bacteria (Photorhabdus luminescens). In the blood, multiplying nematode-bacterium complex causes septicemia and kills their insect host usually within 24-48 hours. Nematodes feed on multiplying bacteria, mature into adults, reproduce, and then emerge as infective juveniles from the host cadaver to seek new larvae in the soil. The life cycle continues.
